Weekend cricket holds a special place in the heart of Australian culture.
This painting celebrates that love of the game—or the memories it brings back. Jaq Grantford was inspired by one of her fondest memories: watching her daughter play cricket as a child and marveling at how the calm, peaceful rhythm of the game could suddenly erupt into bursts of energy—the crack of the ball, everyone running, emotions high, and cheers filling the air whenever a score was made.
