This sculpture is a portrait of my step-sister, from whom I was separated at age three. Memories of her lingered, uncertain -were they imagined, or real? Fifteen years later, we reconnected, discovering that lost family can resurface in the most unexpected ways. Through this reunion, forgotten memories were retrieved and a sisterhood was forged. She is thoughtful and a writer, and this work reflects both her presence and the bond we share.
