Last year the painting I did of Elena Kats-Chernin was a finalist in the 5th International Figure Painting Competition, which was held in New York.
So on my way back from Iceland, I dropped past. (Nonchalantly said, huh?)
I understand why they made all those t-shirts in the 80s saying I love NY (with love as a pink heart before emojis even existed) because I do love NY. It’s bustling and full of energy and life. And the art galleries! Don’t get me started…
I had a WHOLE day in the MET uninterrupted to wander around by myself. Bliss.
(A lot of the blog posts at the moment are from last year. Mainly because I haven’t posted much of late so I’m catching up. But also because last year was a much better year!)
